We will meet you at the airport, pick you up from there, drop off to your Hotel.
In the second day we will visit Sardis Ancient City and synagogue which is belongs to 133 BC. Sardis was ruled by the Roman Empire that's why most Jewish Community there were Romaniote. Whole city was constructed again just after the Lydia Earthquake in 17 AD.
You will visit Ephesus Ancient City. The guide won't let you miss not only highlighted points but also off-the-grid ruins in the city. While, there was a big jewish community had been living there, St. Paul visited the city at 53 AD. You will see carved Menorah symbol on the Celsus Library's stairs.
You will visit Laodicea Ancient City, our guide will point you to the Menorah carving with the Cross symbol on the column where is in the Nymphaeum.
In Izmir, thanks to the Jewish Community, their ruins (leftovers) could be found in 4 BC for the first time. Nowadays, we have more or less 10 synagogues in Izmir. Some of them are ruined because of earthquakes fires etc. You will visit some chosen ones.
This is the end of the tour. We will pick you up from the hotel and drop off to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. Thank you for the participation.
